Choosing the `right' wedding

Weddings can cost a lot of money or they can cost very little money, depending on one's priorities. You can easily change your car or move home but you can't change your wedding day. Of course, people sometimes divorce and re-marry, so they do sometimes change their wedding day. Even so, each wedding is special to them. So what is the right wedding?  It's when everything or nearly everything runs smoothly, and when everyone especially yourself has a great time. The only way to ensure that things will run smoothly is to do a certain amount of planning, to eliminate the possibility of anything going seriously wrong. Have fun with your wedding planner

This may come as a surprise but organizing a wedding can actually be enjoyable. It can be enjoyable even if you hire a wedding planner to organize it. You can have fun suggesting ideas and discussing them with him or her, and the great thing is, you don't have any responsibilities!

Fresh or dried rose petals are a romantic favorite, and metallic hearts, kisses or even the newlyweds' names are also popular. 
Copy the look of your wedding bouquet with traditional floral centrepieces or, for a more modern theme, you could fill glass bowls with water, flower heads and floating candles. Scatter petals under a translucent organza tablecloth or freeze edible flower petals in ice cubes and float them in jugs of water. Alternatively, wind floral twine around lengths of tulle and decorate mantelpieces, shelves or tables to create an unusual look.

Even place cards can be dressed with tiny bouquets at each setting or tied to individual roses.  Remember, your guests need to feel that they have room to manoeuvre around the table, so don't over-litter them. Also, avoid floral arrangements that are too high to see over — they are a guaranteed conversation killer. For the same reason, it's wise to choose wine glasses with shorter stems, besides which, taller glasses can be easily knocked over when guests become more animated. For convenience, choose one large wine glass rather than both a red and white wine glass, along with one for water. 
You could also think about omitting side plates. After all, you want room for those all-important things like disposable cameras so that your guests can capture all the key moments. 
You can be really creative with your place names, reinforcing your whole wedding theme or choosing quirky combos. For instance, you could have biscuits with the guests' names iced on them, or polished stones with the guests' names painted on them, which is a more  lasting memento.
